Biography:
David started at Drax Power Station M spent 18 years at Drax in Materials Handling becoming Team Leader and Group Head. He moved to Eggborough Power Station as Materials Handling Manager, before becoming Group Head of Outage Planning and the Supply Chain Manager.
David left the power industry and became General Manager of a newly formed coal and petcoke handling and processing company: Eastgate Materials Handling at Immingham Docks, providing coal to Drax, Eggborough, Ferrybridge, Ratcliff, West Burton and Cottam power stations.
After 10 years he joined Hargreaves Industrial Services working in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, and India, selling operation and maintenance services. He returned to the UK and for the last nine years has been Commercial Manager for ABP (Associated British Ports), specialising in bulk material handling.
A CIS committee member for many years, Vice Chairman and Chairman twice before becoming the President of this fantastic association.
